What is the best way to love the Earth?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 06, 2008:
Well, one possible way of reverence is always showering over a bucket. Water! A seemingly endless supply, but consider water. Each precious unique drop of water....
I'm mesmerized delighted by the idea that by learning to respect and appreciate water, among all the other natural graces of this world in which we live and thrive and have our being, we can reshape the challenges that face the twenty-first century -- and rejuvenate the planet.
Some researchers say that water has a memory and carries within it our thoughts and prayers. We ourselves are what, mostly water. Dr. Masaru Emoto uses high-speed photography to prove that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated throughts are directed toward them. The photographs of crystals exposed to thoughts such as love, kindness, peace, gratitude are vastly different than those exposed to harsh negative thoughts.
Imagine. Imagine! This is more than just our own individual personal health that can be affected by how we "think." What if these tiny drops of water, traversing the earth emptying into the seas, carry our prayers thoughts intentions to the rest of the world. WOW.

Hi Jeannie, Thoughts are pretty powerful and do travel beyond our own cranium, and don't you just love it when they link via Cosmic minds network, real cool.here's to synchronicity, and telepathy. I didn't know that about the water crystals but have had some very unusual happenings with gem crystal vibes. Apart from water, fertile soil and clean air are the other priorities. Pollutants are well over safety levels in a lot of cities and in a lot of homes
(((((((((((((Jeannie))))))))))))) love you!
jeennie - yes!! water is wonderful!! and so are you – full of water/made of water.

hey this was neat to read. My mother in law gave me a book on that thing with the water crystals but I don't know where it is. As you say if water can be affected by intentions then, I think I better start being more aware of this.
When you consider how much of our bodies and our world is made of water, even air-borne humidity, it makes every intention so much more important!
thanks for this!
I so LOVE those beautiful crystals in Dr Emoto's photos, the power of thought….the power of love!
As you know I am with you on this, being a big fan of Bleep!
We have great collective power to change the world…one drop at a time. I love the idea of ripples on a pond, how one little drop can cause a ripple that spreads out and eventually reaches across the entire pond.
Thankyou Jeannie for being that love charged, beautiful, precious droplet that reaches out to touch all the others!
This conversation is so exciting!! So could all matter in the universe exist in a web of connection and constant influence? Do our thoughts, prayers, intentions, sending of light really have effect?
When I pray (intend, send conscious positive thought, send light) I'm always thinking outwards, towards. But Emoto comes along and suggests to “look within” as well as without. Not simply into the heart or to the vast peace that resides deep down behind the senses. But to the cell, to the infinite number of water molecules. Our bodies are, what?, perhaps 65% water; earth 70% water.
What if we are only beginning to understand a vast and untapped human potential, something essential that might be every person's birthright. What a simple way to focus our lives, heal our illnesses, alter global perspective! Prayer by prayer, light by light. And imagine the effect intensified by a multiple of more than one.
The power of thought on a molecule of water. Have you seen photographs of crystals exposed to various thoughts or music? Such as gratitude, you make me sick, Beethoven's Pastorale, or love for humanity.
Deep bows. Peace! What wondrous possibilities a prayer, a thought or intention of goodness, offers not only for our own individual health, but for the body of sweet Mother Earth. This is just heart-warming, heart-expanding JOY.
I lost my post… [This is getting annoying!!]
Wonderful, Jeannie. You know you have my heart on this; this is the way that I exist, highly conscious about my thoughts even and its impact on my space and that I move into at any time.
We are sooo powerful! Let's do this!!
Love, Sherri
“When you work you fulfil a part of earth's furthest dream, assigned to you when that dream was born. And in keeping yourself with labour you are in truth loving life, And to love life through labour is to be intimate with life's inmost secret.”
– Kahlil Gibran
Maybe that is why I feel such peace when I am in water. It would seem that many people when they shower, go to the beach, wade into the pool… all do it to relax and let go. Water brings positive energy. This is a great theory to think about!
