Astronomy Today says near the outskirts of the small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy some 200 thousand light-years distant, lies 5 million year young star cluster NGC 602. Surrounded by natal gas and dust, NGC 602 is featured in this stunning Hubble image of the region.
The picture spans about 200 light-years, but a tantalizing assortment of background galaxies are also visible in the sharp Hubble view. The background galaxies are hundreds of millions of light-years or more beyond NGC 602.

Where am I now? I'm sitting here staring at the screen in wonder and appreciation for this magnificent community that pulls at my heart strings each time my screen opens to Gaia …feeling the love generated by so many. I can have a dark day…but when I come here, my whole world brightens..my spirits are lifted…my heart begins to sing.. and I am at One with you!!! I humbly bow to you with the deepest of reverence, my dearest sister of my heart!!! Loving you more than waves upon waves of Love…..
Yes, we live in a magical universe and just the thought of the possibilities of life on other planets just makes me dizzy !! Maybe the knowing of other existences out there only can make us stronger as humans, becoming more united and joined together just as the feeling of connection with the whole world that we feel here at Gaia….. !!
My precious, precious sisters! How I love you! Isn't it beyond amazing, like the Peace Intention Experiment underway right now. More than simply the power of words, but of thought and intention, and connection. I think of Dryad's painting, a Prayer for Earth Day. (And she told me that when we feel goosebumps? That's the fairies running up and down our spines in joy, and then having a champagne party in our hair. Works for me! :)
The intentions prayers waves of love that we send soar zoom around this sweet planet, this joyous endless ever-rising loop of giving-and-receiving. Sometimes I kinda think it's all we're meant to do….
Peace and Oceans of LOVE in this wOnderful Universe in which we live and love and have our being!

Arelia! Your classification of galaxies?? OMG. I become very quiet and still. As you say: it's written in the skies, awesome and wOnderful things. Sometimes I find myself looking up so much, I get a crick in my neck. But wait, it's from my mind's eye or my heart that I'm really searching, and the searching goes deep….and wide, and high.

A cosmic gemstone, it outshines
the largest diamond on earth,

Lucy, a dead star -
a crystalised white dwarf
a diamond
veiled in vaporous cloud.
Ten billion trillion
