This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 22, 2009:
Mister Rogers ... do you remember Mister Rogers??? He had a special meditation; it went like this:
At the center of the universe is a
loving heart that continues to beat
and that wants the best for every person.
Anything we can do to help foster
the intellect and spirit and emotional growth
of our fellow human beings, that is our job.
Those of us who have this particular vision
must continue against all odds.
Life is for service.
Mister Rogers Neighborhood - Fred Rogers - 1928-2003
YES! The wide-open compassionate heart, loving serving thriving in a joyous eternal loop of giving and receiving. Such JOY lives here, and strength, and wisdom, and knowing.
Surely this is what it means to be "fully alive." Not living an unlived life, a life fearful of falling or stumbling or losing. No, I wish to fully inhabit my days, allow the sometimes apparently chaotic journey of life to open my heart ever further and further, to make me less afraid, more accessible.
May I pay attention to all that is good and beautiful on this sweet blue-green planet and in all of the universe! May my heart soften and grow ever freer until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. So that what came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom, and that goes on as fruit. YOW!

I do remember Mister Rogers, and loved him. There was that special light in his face, always there. As if his heart was shining right out at you through his eyes.
That photo is awesome, Jeannie, the way the light seems to emanate from within the beautiful heart-shaped cloud.
Well put, I’m sharing your thoughts with my friends, thank you. :)
So beautiful…
And your heart is perfect, gentle, blooming ever radiant with joy-full celebration, filled with wonder which you share, so divine and glowing, ever blending, ever bright, ever loving…
We are truly blessed by your presense and gifts of inspiration, forever reminding of the real truth and joy of all that is good…
Thank you dear Jeannie…
Wonderful and uplifting..
Love and blessings..
Ange..
And I read all of your words, and my own heart is pierced with joy. I am left with such an immense sense of gratitude and appreciation and wonder!
Your own hearts are shining out through your eyes; I can sense this from here. How good life is, sweet and blessed and ever-expanding. And I get to be on this exquisite journey with you?! Deep bows. Peace and Oceans of Love!
Fred Rogers was one of the gentlest and most genuine human beings to grace this Earth. Yet he was also very down-to-earth, apparently. I remember a “blooper” show in which he was struggling to assemble a tent during the filming of one of his shows, and thought he had it all together, when suddenly the whole thing collapsed on him. There was a pause, and then a very quiet sigh of: “Shit.”
:-D
He was a nice guy, but by no means pretentious. From what I've read, he had a knack for being very perceptive and on-target with his observations and comments when talking to people one to one. Always gentle, but also clearsighted and honest.
He is still deeply missed. I guess it's up to the rest of us to carry the torch onwards!
One who knows Love…
:-)
To know Love is to become love, and to behold Love in the heart of everyone…. Those words, that music – how achingly beautiful they are!
